Cecon: On Vitamin C and Being a Super Mommy

by Kaycee Enerva @ Top Beauty and Lifestyle Blog on Makeup, Skincare, Fitness, Tech, Food, Travel

Loading up on my vitamin Cs. Can’t risk getting sick, rainy season pa din. 500mg vitamin C is recommended, vitamin B complex and zinc to help strengthen immunity. Ayoko magkasakit, my loved ones depend on me. Last month was the worst! Stubborn as I am, I allowed myself to get drenched in the rain because I didn’t care. I thought hey I’m strong, no rain can make me sick. I had a bad case of flu the following day and even infected my son in the process. Cecon Vitamin C Price: A tablet of Cecon chewable is around 7 pesos each Last week I was invited to a Super Mom event of Cecon. As much as I’m trying to become a “cool millenial mom“, I wanted to learn more. Be better for baby Geof. We were given a quick talk on how to balance our time. I learned that in order to give more to my son, I should give more to myself. Because a grumpy, stressful mommy, will lash out to the little one. This has happened to me a few times and I regret each one. We should not forget ourselves in the process of becoming a mom. Then, […]

My thoughts | I want to buy a brush set!

by noreply@blogger.com (Teri Yellow) @ Sa Mata ng Isang Probinsiyana

I want to play and experiment, and I want to help unveil the hidden beauty of other people.

I've been thinking of make up brushes the whole day of yesterday and the first thing I did when I woke up this day was to continue browsing reviews and opinions over the net. Watching Rhazel's channel in youtube inflamed my old desire to buy my own brush. And I'm still not using my bdj box from Pink Sugar, like it silently waits for the arrival of my future brushes. I don't know why, but it suddenly felt like it's so crucial to have it (when I don't really think of it back on previous months and years). But now, I want to have my own set of brush na!

I will be on a hormonal therapy for this month and hopefully for the following months. That will eventually lead to a face free of pimples. I really wanted to shift from skincare to cosmetics so I could at least do my own makeup on special occasion. It ruins my mood when I don't like the result of other people's work in my face (especially eyebrows) and even in my hair. What I currently have is too far from being complete though. I still need a huge palette for eye shadow and contour. How I wish the price of the entire makeup set is not intimidating.

I told my boyfriend I want to have a set of make up brush. I find it ironically funny when he volunteered and asked me the brand, price or where he can possibly buy it because the combined price is embarrassingly expensive compared to guys' gadgets (because we female have gadgets too!). I won't let him buy my personal female luxury things because it's awkward and it's a luxury we can live without. But if he wants to buy a DSLR for me, okay lang lols...

The prices of other beauty products is really intimidating. If I make my living by doing other people's makeup, the price will be reasonable. Maybe knowing my goals in makeup and sticking with it will help. On the early days of my blogging, I can't even fathom why women buy a lot of expensive face products. They only use it in their face lang naman and it expires. May naiipon pa kaya sila? My main concern is the same, “I'm a low wager” and there's the guilt feeling on splurging on those things.

Isn't less better? Does this makes sense when I really don't want to wear a heavy makeup in a daily basis? Who will be my prospects when practicing? Will it be okay for me to share my personal brush and other makeup products on other people's face?

Jeunesse Negative Ion Napkins – Health Benefits and Does it Really Work?

What's up? Blog update

by noreply@blogger.com (Teri Yellow) @ Sa Mata ng Isang Probinsiyana

I still peek in my blog even if I'm currently not posting but I stopped reading other people's blogs. So it means I'm also currently not updated in blogosphere. I still observe and reply to some comments. I'm just lurking behind. Blogging is one of the things that I still see myself doing continuously in the future. I've been writing personal journal since my teenage years so I know that this therapeutic habit is something I will not give up easily. I feel more happy and comfortable in writing personal stuff but I'm afraid to pass negativity. You know, blue days. The more I ignore and don't acknowledge it, the longer it stays. I chose silence than make you feel sad knowing that sadness can be contagious.

I remember I felt depressed when I saw a break up post of a blogger I follow before. I was sad previously and became sadder after reading that. But even if she was not yet telling her problem, I noticed how she became less lively and felt the changed of her aura compared years ago. She became fat too and she procrastinates in giving the prices of her monthly best commenter. I don't want you to feel what I felt before that's why I've been torn between writing or waiting and keeping it to myself.

But I want you to understand that I'm not writing to entertain you guys. Like what I've said, I'm writing for myself and writing for some people who needs information of a certain product, not necessarily a beauty product. I'm afraid that I might not meet your expectations but I'm still thankful to those who still comes back.

Anyways, I want to share what's currently happening to my blog: SOMEONE IS ATTACKING MY BLOG!

If you're wondering, I'm an Infotech graduate. I'm aware of some technical stuff and what's happening behind the scenes. However, my current work is not related to I.T. so I'll admit I'm not that good anymore.

I've made a not so good review about a certain product in an honest and kind tone. Surprisingly, my review of that product was almost in the top search result of Google. Since then, I've noticed that my blog receives illegal referrals, talk about obscene websites linking to my blog. I noticed how the rank slowly dropped but it's still in the first page. The bad referral happens almost everyday. Next, I've noticed that I'm receiving a lot of spam comments from new and suspicious account but I don't approve it because I'm not that stupid. I wonder what the attacker's next plan is. Unfortunately, the attacker could be a Filipino too because there's actually a profession and community that does that and it's related to I.T.

Have you experienced that kind of problem too? How did you deal with that? I want to hear your experience and how you cope up with that. You can share it below or you can email me.

Tips For Maximizing Your Time When Shopping

by Kaycee Enerva @ Top Beauty and Lifestyle Blog on Makeup, Skincare, Fitness, Tech, Food, Travel

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to the grocery store thinking it was only half an hour when in actual fact, I ended up spending at least two hours inside. Grocery shopping is already tedious at best, so why not try to save a little time to use for you or your family? It also doesn’t help that shopping is an unavoidable part of every day life. It might be difficult to get started, but take a look at these time management tips – https://www.adaptrm.com/blog/time-management-skills to make your shopping trip that much more enjoyable and efficient. Time It Most of you know that there are times when the grocery store is simply packed. If you go when there are more people, it takes that much longer to navigate the aisles and get out. So that you’ll avoid the tediousness of waiting in line at the counter, try to find a time when less people are there and forget about evenings, Sunday afternoons and prime time on Saturday. Plan Your Meals Before you end up at the store, write down the list of all bakeware sets as well as ingredients you’ll need for each dish. This eliminates the […]

Personal Musings: Letting Go of Things You Can’t Control

by Kaycee Enerva @ Top Beauty and Lifestyle Blog on Makeup, Skincare, Fitness, Tech, Food, Travel

The past few months I’ve been going through intense depression. I’m not able to focus on my work, sometimes I lash out on my family. A lot of thoughts are going in my head trying to find answers to questions like; Why is this happening to me? Why do they get these so and so opportunities and not me, when I deserve better When will this suffering end? How can I make-up for my wrong-doings? I wish I can turn back time What can I do to make you love me? (yes, the song from The Corrs)   I was losing sleep, and losing my mind. Repeating different scenarios over and over in my head. What if I do this? Will it make it better? What if I had done this? Would things be different? Are you missing someone? Call them 100 times in their phones and each time is unanswered. Leave hundreds of messages and all you get is seenzoned (I’m exagerating but you get my point). Eventually you’ll get tired. But this morning I realized. The only thing we have control of is ourselves. Not your boyfriend, not your friend, not anyone or anything. We cannot force ourselves to […]

BAB 2

by noreply@blogger.com (Dessy Belle) @ Dessy Journal

No sugar. No flavoring. Just pure 20,000mg of pure collagen from Cosmo Skin. I was browsing around Watson’s scouring for a new collagen supplement to try. The Reason Why I Went MIA in 2016

by noreply@blogger.com (Misa Lee) @ ♡♪ misaraisu ♪♡

Hello.

First off, happy new year 2017! I wish you all the good things and may this year be a better and more accomplished year for everyone.

I actually debated a lot whether to continue this blog, my activities in social media (which wasn't much), and if I should really "retire" from the internet and basically everywhere. 2016 was a difficult year for me. Actually I'm not sure if there are still people who follow and read my blog or not, seeing how I disappeared for a long time. I notice that in 2016 I only wrote 3 posts on this blog: an event report, shopping experience, and a short product review. It wasn't much compared to how I used to be quite actively blogging and posting on my facebook & instagram the past couple years. I really think hard for the past several months how to write this post. I hesitated, then convinced myself to gain the courage to do it, then I debated and argued with myself there might not be a single soul that still remembers who I am, and it goes on for a long time.

I don't want to waste anyone's time to read this 'confession' or rather 'explanation' post for people who visit my blog to read other beauty related posts. So I put this jump break and for those who want to read further, please click more :)

To be honest, it all started around the end of 2015 although I think I've known about it a little bit longer. I have depression and anxiety. My anxiety developed more in 2016 but since 2015 I was so depressed. I didn't know how to deal with it. I still don't for the most part. Around January 2016, I just felt like I didn't want to do anything. I didn't want to go out, I was scared to go out and be around people, including some friends and acquaintances. I do have some close friends here and I did distant myself from them, all of them, including my best friends for 15+ years. I just felt nothing. I was always tired and everyday felt like another lifeless day for me even when I just woke up in the morning. I had trouble sleeping at night too. I'm sure many people with depression and anxiety know how it feels. I just wanted to be alone, all by myself, didn't want to see and talk to anyone. I still posted on facebook, blog and instagram here and there at first but slowly I reduced my social media activities and completely disappeared and logged out, deleted all of them off my phone.

I felt guilty and bad whenever I remembered my friends, but I didn't have the courage or enough reason to tell anyone how I was feeling and suffering. I did try few times with some friends around me and even to my own family, but of course the lack of knowledge about mental illness made them think I was just pretending and seeking attention. Really though, I didn't want attention, in fact I wanted them to go away far from me and leave me alone. But none of them understood and with the constant "you're just thinking too much" or "it's just in your mind" and "it'll disappear very soon" or "you're not the only one suffering in this world" and many more of those disheartening words everytime I confided in them made me feel so hopeless I didn't want to deal with anyone anymore.

I didn't get treated intensively and didn't see therapist regularly because I just couldn't believe in anyone, including professionals because my mind was constantly so negative about everything and I only trusted myself. I thought I would be okay after some time, and that I would feel better if I calmed myself down and found some peace on my own.

Of course, I didn't.

There were times I missed what I used to do and love: makeup and blogging. I did check my blog, email, and social media accounts. There were parts of me that missed everything, while some side of me started to hate myself for leaving the things I loved and suffered by myself instead of trying to overcome it (but it was so hard for me to even try), and other parts of me wanted me to quit all that cause it all started to bother me I didn't know how to deal with those feelings. I think even now I can't really describe how I felt last year in words, it was all just too much. I always ended up crying for hours in silent under the blanket because I didn't want my family to see me in that state.

The worst part for me was I had to pretend to be "normal" for my family and work. I hated it when I forgot to act normal and then people asked me what's wrong and why I looked sad, I couldn't tell them. So I just pretended to be normal and sometimes my past bubbly self in front of people at work and home. It was like wearing a mask, just so they wouldn't question me, or pity and worry about me.

I knew I probably angered some of my friends with the way I thought, but I couldn't help it. I mean some friends that really cared about me of course. Eventually I started replying some friends' messages after a while later. I did tell probably couple of them how I felt and what happened with me the past several months. Some gave me a really great supportive messages which really helped me. I also met some great friends I considered sisters and real family who really understood what I was going through, who didn't judge me. I am still so thankful for everyone who still support me in my hardest time, even when I couldn't be a real friend to them.

Oh, and even my boyfriend I started to have few issues with him which I didn't have before. I was always so anxious with him. Little things he did and didn't do made me so angry, anxious, sad, worried, and everything unpleasant. We argued a bit too much and there was time I thought I just wanted to be alone without him, I didn't want to do anything with him anymore. But luckily it all went away when he visited me last July. It reminded me how I still have someone who really loves me and care about me. It wasn't like throwing tantrum because I missed him. But his last visit really consoled me, and made me so much calmer and he is a really positive person so he kinda counterattacked my constant negativity and made me so peaceful for the whole 2 weeks he was here. I began to get some sleep at night (except when I heard him snoring so loud even from another room lol) which I didn't get the past 6 months. The little things he did made me feel so calm and less negative about many things.

After he went back home, I was still getting better, still so depressed but less anxious in some things. But overall I felt quite relieved and less negative, and as I went back to my usual home and surrounding, I had to be the bigger person again everytime and had to act normal again. I just couldn't deal with all those again, especially with some family problems I had to deal also it made everything worse.

But then slowly I could open up to some close friends, and boyfriend sometimes. I really didn't want to burden him or make him so worried about me that I didn't always tell him whenever I was so depressed in the middle of the night that I cried nonstop. Sometimes I told my other friend instead, and she would help me get through what I was feeling. It was kinda hard to explain but yeah... basically the pressure at work and in life pretty much took a toll on me and with my depression + anxiety, I just constantly felt too much, more than what I could handle. I didn't want to care about anything, then at the same time I cared too much about those little things and it all really upset me and tired me out and just I don't know how to describe it actually. I think I'm rambling nonsense now I'm sorry.

Then last December I was just started to feel like I wanted to try to better myself and overcome this. I've been anti social for too long, I didn't even look up what's going on in the beauty and makeup world anymore. But I was getting interested more with nail art. Doing nail art (even though I'm not that good) gives me peace and makes me feel calm. I made few nail videos but with my social awkwardness still going on, I didn't show my face because I just didn't feel comfortable enough to do that. I used to take selfie everytime everywhere like a shameless person I was. But with this depression, I didn't even want to look at my own face in the mirror. I stopped caring about how I look, I didn't put makeup on and didn't even treat my skin anymore. I just didn't care about all that. So when I came back to instagram and facebook last month, I was so amazed with everything and everyone. It was like a new world again for me.

But I managed to put some makeup on again and take some face and makeup pictures. It appears that I still enjoy putting makeup on on a good day. I start to reply to friends' messages, and talk to people more (online of course). Because my best friends for 15+ years don't even live close to me anymore so I can only talk to them via text anyway. When I came back to my facebook, I was just so touched how some friends still talk to me normally like I was never gone. The whole time I felt so bad because I just disappeared without any messages and felt like I owe them explanation. But my friends actually welcomed me back warmly and their supports mean the world to me.

I'm really sorry this post really goes all over the place now. I'm having so much emotions as I type this at the moment. I was actually writing this to let you know how I was doing the time I was gone, but it ends up being this super long full of nonsensical words. I still have a lot to tell you about that, and some other things that happened in between and etc but I don't think I should continue this more because I can keep on going and it will be a short autobiography of mine. I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. I mean, writing actually soothes me a bit and helps me clear my mind. Even though today I write like a kid without direction and just go on like this and it may sound so weird for you who read this. I'm sorry again. But I guess partly why I didn't open up sooner to my close friends was because I didn't want to be depressed around them or made anyone upset with my gloominess.

Also, the last thing that convinced me to go back and do the things I love is when my friend, Rini passed away just two weeks ago. I regretted a lot of things whenever I think of her. She reached out to me quite a lot of times during my MIA days. Actually one of the first person who I thought of when I was deciding to go back was her. I was just thinking on my own how I should tell her why I disappeared on her the past 8-9 months. We were just liking each others posts and messaging shortly. She just liked my picture the night before when that day she had an accident and passed away. I think many of some beauty bloggers friends already know what happened. That day when I saw the news I cried nonstop because I really missed her and I felt so guilty why I didn't reply her and distant myself for the past 9 months. And there, suddenly I remembered her words when she told me that no matter what I should be real and go on with my blog, which we talked a bit when I was having a hard time. I remembered our conversation when we were in my car. The things we talked about, laughed at, and how we sang and got our silly button on. I just regretted everything. She was so young and talented with so bright future, and her accident reminded me what she told me before, and when she encouraged and supported me about some stuff I wasn't confident in... It just reminded and convinced me even more that I really should continue doing what I loved to do, and still love doing. So aside of my friends who've been supporting me all this time, I also deeply thank Rini for all the things she's done and said to me. I will never forget her and her words.

I don't know now if people still read it at this point. But I will continue blogging. And if you still follow me on social media, you see I'm slowly posting on my accounts, not everyday but I'm  trying to do it slowly in my pace. I didn't pour all my thoughts in this post and hold myself back because I don't want to bore people even more with my depressive post, but you know how to contact and message me if you want to talk more.

And to add a little, currently I'm feeling better at the moment. I try to be more positive and not to bottle it up alone. I feel like I'm ready to meet my friends again now, maybe not every week like before but I guess it's a good change? I hope. I still feel awkward around many people, but the past month I think I talked to my friends more than I did the past year, so I guess it's an improvement. I don't think I will fully 'cured' as I still get panic attacks and depressed at some moments, but I'm trying my best to live my life and I believe with everyone's supports, I think I can be a bit more 'normal' and feel better.

I sincerely thank you to everyone who've been there for me, support me and being my friends all this time. I'm sorry for this too immature, too emotional, too all over the place post. It's now 2017, and though I'm not miraculously cured and go back 'normal' and bubbly, but I will try to not stop doing what I love to do. And like what some of you told me, I'll open up more and not bottle it up by myself. Thank you again for reading. Hope to see you soon in my first real beauty related post.

Happy new year!

Ps. sorry for a lot of writing and grammatical mistakes.

Extra thank you to Yomo-chan, Sera, Henry, Mira, Momo, Raimar, bby Joanne, Fio and Yoan.

Behind the Joys of Blog Hopping

by noreply@blogger.com (Teri Yellow) @ Sa Mata ng Isang Probinsiyana

When I’m not writing articles, I blog hop. I go to different blogs and leave a comment on interesting posts. Sometimes it’s a way of initiating relationship between bloggers that can be very beneficial especially when they’ll become a follower of each other’s weblog. Blog hopping also enables me to understand the industry better. It exposes me to more ideas and helps me realize the path I’m pursuing. Back reading their posts even makes me more conscious of how korni my other posts can be.

Blog hop or blog hopping works by visiting a blog that has the same niche with yours. If your blog is about fashion or beauty, you search for similar sites and leave a relevant comment together with your own link.

I’ve done this in my early blogging days to discover and follow inspirational or entertaining blogs and to also introduce my blog to my fellow Filipino bloggers. I’m happy to say that some of them have followed me back. However, I’ve stopped leaving my link because it might get spammy and it can hurt the overall health of my blog instead of benefiting from it. I believe that there’s an unspoken rule regarding the proper way of leaving comments in other websites. I honestly don’t know the exact rule, only a wild guess that it is not advisable to just leave your plain URL or URL hyperlink below the comment. It’s very tempting but who knows if it could backfire someday. There is a right and obvious place for our links and there's even a dedicated textbox for that.

Disadvantage of Blog Hopping

  1. There’s no real interaction. Some just leave comments deprived of real value. If you are a blogger, you’ll learn to discern which comment is genuine, rushed or fake. For the love I have in my e-journal, I'd rather choose to stop exchanging comment or reduce the frequency of my comments to other blogs than to receive a message from them that feels like a spam.
  2. A messy page. Some of  us are blinded with having a lot of comments in our entries and we even allow those generated or unrelated comments to appear. But doing so will make your future reader, your real target audience, suffer. Why would a visitor linger long if the comments are like trash? Will it help them in their decision making? Does it adds value to the information they're seeking in the net? Or at least entertain them? Visually, it doesn’t add up in the aesthetics of your site. There is no balance between the real worth of your article versus the loads of comments you received.
  3. Tricky and time consuming. It’s very artificial and it’s “too much” to leave your link in every page you’ve commented. Even too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Practice moderation. Choose only the blogs and a particular post where it is best to share your comment and link.

This is just one of the many ways to gain free traffic. So use your time wisely! Focusing only in the scheme of blog hopping might reduce your time on other important things you should be prioritizing more.

Do you practice blog hopping? Do share your experience and observations.

Puppy Diaries: Beginner with Puppies and Some Problems Encountered

by noreply@blogger.com (Teri Yellow) @ Sa Mata ng Isang Probinsiyana

Taking care of my new puppy is tiring and consumes my time. How much more If I'll have my own child? How will I balance work and kids while still being a good partner and friend to my better half? I just realize that it’s not easy since the puppy was not in good health when I've got him. Imagine the hardship of our mothers. My mom is very good domestically but that comes with a con - she's not really sweet and affectionate to us. Maybe that’s the result of huge responsibility at an early age. Talk about early pregnancy, having a lot of kids, and a difficult partner! So think first before you commit!

My puppy's name is Pepper. Weird thing is I've received an approval from my Mom to keep him. But Pepper is still my lone responsibility. That will be a challenge for me before I’ll consider starting my own family. It will not be easy since I'm not really a dog lover and my family doesn’t give them a special treatment. I doubt too that I could rely on them to take care of him when I'm not around, perhaps on a very rare occasion only.

Unknowledgeable with dogs
What I’ve done in the past few weeks was I’ve read a lot of forum conversations and articles regarding puppies. And there’s my dog-lover boyfriend who’s generous in giving me advices on the proper treatment and caring of dogs. If I delayed giving Pepper an anti-lice bath, the damage in his skin could be worst than what it is now. Talk about zero knowledge about dogs. I was not sure if it’s okay to give the puppy an anti-lice treatment at 6 weeks of age, I don’t know if it could handle a bath, and have no idea of what anti-lice shampoo to buy. The lice devour the puppy’s skin and gives it a wet wound. That’s what happened to Pepper. The blood sucking pests could also make the puppy anemic.

Other dilemmas:

1. The Amount of Food to Give. Someone told me that puppies can die from overfeeding, not sure if it's true though. He’s very fury, it's kinda deceiving that its hard to guess if the food is too much for him. I’ve only bought a kilo of dog food (I don't even know the name) and its instruction is in the sack. There’s a computation of how much to feed based on the dog’s weight but I haven’t researched about it yet.

2. Deworming The Puppy. In our Aspin dogs, they only do it once in their entire life and that’s during their puppy days. I’m currently working on this. I bought syrup which might turn out as a bad buy compared to a tablet form since I’ve read somewhere that once it’s open, the strength lessens after 30 days. Uh-oh. My mom dislikes the idea of me buying a 350 (7$) worth deworming product. She volunteered to buy a cheaper one (not sure if the one that is intended for human babies) if I will return what I’ve bought. If only it’s not embarrassing and not a hassle to return it … It was not given to him immediately since Pepper was not feeling well after he ate other dog’s vomit and vomited it too.

3. No Cage/Crate. I’m still using my sister’s cage until that last last weekend but she disposed it on that weekend too. I offered to buy it but she refused, so I ended up with “poop everywhere” problem. It’s easier to potty train him when he’s in the cage as no dogs would want to poop in their sleeping area. Since there’s no more cage, he no longer poops outside. The potty training during lunch time doesn’t sound feasible though as a puppy could not hold his poop for straight 8 hours since I'm in work. I need someone to take him out during lunch time.

A cage is needed top since the dog is not allowed inside the house. I’m just living in other people’s house so I have to obey their rules.

But caging the dog seems like it gives them depression. Pepper only wags its tail when I let him out, not during the time that he noticed I came home.

4. Poop Everywhere. The lack of cage means he needed to be trained to poop in a carton filled with soil. Poop is a joy killer. The scent and picking of poop is the part that I hated most with pets. If the pup has worms, the poop will carry the worms and the eggs. Then there’s the flies… :| I’ve read somewhere that the worm can survive in the soil for 1-2 years? Talk about petting your puppy, holding it, licking you, and the possibility of transfer of worms to us.

When Pepper eats pure dog food soaked in water, his poops were firmer and not smelly BUT he always poop that I wonder if it is really absorbed in his body. He eat less if it’s dog food though.

5. Frequent Floor Mopping. Because of problem # 4.

6. The Attracted Flies. Because of problem # 4.

7. He Doesn’t Bark. This is still in relation to problem #4. If he will bark, at least I’ll know when to let him out in the garden. He only barked twice in the past, though yesterday I've heard him bark three times.

8. Puppy Expenses. I didn't know that puppy is a high maintenance pet. I need to find a fund for my puppy expenses else my little savings will gradually deplete because of him. Talk about vet expenses and dog needs. It's easier if it's an Aspin. Lesson learned? Taking care of a not so healthy puppy is no joke so if you have a chance, please pick a healthy one!

Facebook Now, Friendster Before

by noreply@blogger.com (Teri Yellow) @ Sa Mata ng Isang Probinsiyana

Facebook used to be so enjoyable when it was just “us” in the campus and the instructors. That was when we didn’t yet add a lot of people we didn’t really know or accepted the friend request of older generations, relatives and nosy neighbors. Back then, we just play Farmville and exchange gifts even with our instructors. We take pride in our achievements in different FB games. Simple joys.

I miss Friendster. I miss the part where you can see who viewed your profile. You also have to make an effort to go to other people’s page to know them more because you admire them or just curious of them. When you post, no one would know it unless they visit your page. There’s no Newsfeed where every post of yours will be seen by all of those who are in your friend list. You just browse pictures. You customize your page to express your personality.

Posting in Facebook is quite embarrassing now. It’s equivalent to showing off. It’s too public. Besides, it’s not a place like a blog to log your life. Facebook is not your diary. It’s not an Instagram for you to bombard it with pictures. It is currently a place where you can easily call the attention of people from different walks of life. Some people rant and get annoyed. You receive unsolicited information through your friend’s post even if you don’t really need or like what they’ve said.

I hope this is where Google+ enters. I hope they could revive Friendster by adapting some of its old features in their site. Then they’ll have moderators to avoid obscenity. It will be a place to dig helpful information for personal or academic growth (just like with forums). The main feature will be blogs where members can be compensated through advertisement at the same time. More of like a combination of blogging and modern Friendster.

The only consolation I have from Facebook is that it’s a place where most people online can be found. You can find helpful groups that cater your interest. Say like you can join a group of a certain brand or unit of a phone that’s similar to what you own and learn relevant trends, tips and troubleshooting. If you have a certain illness, you can join a group and hear the other members’ experience and learn possible cure.

5 Important Travel Must-Haves You Must Never Forget

by Kaycee Enerva @ Top Beauty and Lifestyle Blog on Makeup, Skincare, Fitness, Tech, Food, Travel

It’s always exciting to plan for travel. Prepare our things like plane tickets, outfits, and tour itinerary. But sometimes the too much enthusiasm cause us to forget things. When do you plan to go on your next holiday vacation? 5 Important Travel Must-Haves You Must Never Forget #5 Cheap Sunglasses Sure. You probably own cool Ray-Ban aviators or Oakleys that you’d like to bring. I suggest not. People are most likely to lose their sunnies during travel and it’s better to pack something more affordable. So if you won’t cry when you lose it. #4 Power Banks How many power banks do you own? One? Two? 5? I highly suggest not to forget this important travel must-have. We can never have enough power banks to charge our dying phones due to too much picture taking.   #3 Travel Insurance We see this all the time. My friends and I are guilty of ignoring travel insurance just to try and save on tickets. Big mistake. HUUUUUUGE. You never know what may happen during your vacation and you’re far away from friends or family *if you’re not with them. Getting a travel insurance will give you a peace of mind. Not piece of mind. Press Release: Koibito’s World of Gelato Set to Open Shop in Lipa City on October 1, 2017

by Kaycee Enerva @ Top Beauty and Lifestyle Blog on Makeup, Skincare, Fitness, Tech, Food, Travel

Koibito’s World of Gelato Set to Open Shop in Lipa City on October 1, 2017 Lipa City, Batangas – September 18, 2017 – There’s an open secret in Lipa City. Koibito’s World of Gelato serves the best and most authentic gelato this part of the region. Since its inception on October 2, 2015, its customers had to go to their partner shops and restaurants in order to buy their pints. With the rising demands for a standalone shop, the Koibito’s World of Gelato is finally set to open up its own gelato shop in Lipa City on October 1, 2017. The Koibito’s story is a story of love. Its owner, Roger Monsale, gave up his childhood dream of being a pilot in order to be with his Lipeña wife, Angelina Lantin-Monsale, in her hometown of Lipa City. With his love for his wife only matched by his love for ice cream, Roger saw an opportunity to offer something to Lipeños – the best and most authentic gelato they’ve ever tasted. The Salted Caramel flavor is one of their most popular flavors. It all started when Roger got a taste of milk and ice cream in California. With this as inspiration, […]
